Cameron Bailey, CFA

Managing Director, Investment Banking

Exploration & Production

Mr. Bailey is responsible for Oilfield Service Midstream and Alternative Energy as well as International and domestic E&P Companies. 

During the past 15 year Mr. Bailey has founded and operated a number of Canadian and International E&P companies and oilfield service companies including Nevis Drilling Systems, a directional drilling company which was acquired PHX Energy Technologies (Canadian Oilfield Service) where he continues to serve as a Board Member; Signal Energy Inc. (Canadian E&P); Fortress Energy Inc. (Canadian E&P); Alvopetro Inc. (Brazil E&P) and Fortaleza Energy Inc. (Canadian Oilfield Service).  Mr. Bailey served on the Board of Africa Oil Inc. (East Africa E&P) and Shamaran Petroleum Corp. (Kurdistan E&P) as well as a number of other TSX listed public and private energy companies.  

From 1999 to 2004 Mr. Bailey was a Managing Director of Network Capital, an energy venture capital and investment management company. 

Prior thereto Mr. Bailey was Managing Director of Corporate Finance of Peters & Co Limited. 

 

Jeffrey Fallows, LLB/MBA, CFA

Managing Director, Investment Banking

Head of Agriculture & Diversified Industries

Mr. Fallows has more than 11 years’ experience working with Canadian and International Agriculture, Consumer and Industrial companies on a wide variety of transactions including equity, M&A and corporate finance advisory. Prior to joining AltaCorp, Mr. Fallows worked at leading independent and bank-owned dealers in Canada and the U.S. Mr. Fallows has an LLB/MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and the UWO Law School and is a CFA Charter holder.


Gurdeep Gill, CFA

Managing Director, Investment Banking

Exploration & Production

Prior to joining AltaCorp, Mr. Gill worked in the Corporate & Investment Banking group for a major chartered bank in Calgary. Prior to that, Mr. Gill was Vice President, Investment Banking at Tristone Capital Inc. from 2003 to 2008, and prior thereto was involved with a Calgary-based hedge fund. Mr. Gill holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Major in Finance (Honours), and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Calgary. He is also a CFA Charterholder.


Patrick Stables, CFA

Director, Investment Banking

Prior to joining AltaCorp, Mr. Stables was an Investment Banking Analyst with Thomas Weisel Partners/Stifel Nicolaus, where he focused primarily on E&P and Oilfield Services. Prior to that, he worked in the Private Investment Advice division of TD Waterhouse. Mr. Stables holds a Bachelor of Applied Finance Degree from Mount Royal University and is a CFA Charterholder.


Gregory Smiddy

Vice President, Investment Banking

Prior to joining AltaCorp, Mr. Smiddy was an Investment Banking Analyst with Credit Suisse Securities (Canada), where he focused primarily on E&P including the oilsands sector. Prior to that, he worked in the investment banking department of Haywood Securities. Mr. Smiddy holds a Bachelor of Finance Honours Degree from the University of Johannesburg and is currently a CFA level II candidate.


Alex Athanasopoulos

Associate, Investment Banking

Prior to joining AltaCorp, Alex was an Associate at Quadrivium Advisors, a mid-market private equity firm, where he worked on transactions in a variety of industries. He began his career working in commercial banking for a non-bank specialty lender. Alex holds a MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University, a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Windsor, and is currently a CFA level III candidate.


Connor DiStefano

Analyst, Investment Banking

Prior to joining AltaCorp, Mr. DiStefano was a Business Development Intern at Monexo Innovations, a Hong Kong-based Peer-to-Peer lending company. There, he was responsible for analyzing lending markets in India and the Philippines and developing a preliminary strategy for product launch. Mr. DiStefano holds a Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies, with an Honours Double Major in Economics and Finance from the University of Western Ontario.


Blake Eshleman

Analyst, Investment Banking

Prior to joining AltaCorp, Mr. Eshleman was a Joint Ventures Summer Student with Daylight Energy Ltd., where he was responsible for managing Contract Operating Agreements, and well fees. Mr. Eshleman holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Finance) from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary.


Yi Huang

Analyst, Investment Banking

Prior to joining AltaCorp, Mr. Huang was an intern with Alberta Investment Management Corp (AIMCo), where he was responsible for carrying out various procedures for the AIMCo valuation group as well as implementing different projects for AIMCo Operations. Prior to that, he interned in a leading asset management corporation in Shanghai, China as a research analyst. Mr. Huang holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Finance) from the Alberta School of Business at the University of Alberta.


Tyler Press

Analyst, Investment Banking

Prior to joining AltaCorp, Mr. Press was an Analyst with TD Asset Management, where he held positions in both Equity and Fixed Income Research and Portfolio Management. Most recently, Mr. Press was a Research Analyst on the Canadian Equity Team where he was responsible for E&P Research. Prior to that, he worked as a Summer Analyst for Aberdeen Asset Management. Mr. Press holds an Honors in Business Administration degree (Finance) from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and is working towards his CFA Charter.
