Leslie Kende, P.Eng., MBA

Managing Director, Acquisitions & Divestitures

Prior to joining AltaCorp, Mr. Kende was Vice President of Engineering at Vero Energy Inc. (a publicly traded junior oil and gas producer) responsible for: acquisitions, divestitures, reserves and corporate strategy analysis. From 2003 to 2007, he was an integral part of Tristone Capital’s successful Acquisitions and Divestitures practice, with direct involvement in more than $ 8 Bn worth of transactions. Mr. Kende began his career with Amoco Canada, later Crestar Energy, in 1990 in production and development engineering. He has had broad experience across the oil and gas production industry with a third-party reserves evaluator; multi-national production companies; and several junior companies, including Pinnacle Exploration and Cabre Exploration. Mr. Kende holds an Engineering degree from Queen’s University with a specialization in Geophysics, and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University. Mr. Kende is a professional engineer and member of APEGA. Outside of business, Mr. Kende is a Past Board Member of Rundle College Society, and Past President and Director of the Hounsfield Heights Briar Hill Community Association.


Bruce Alexander, P.Geol.

Director, Acquisitions & Divestitures

Prior to joining AltaCorp, Mr. Alexander held numerous consulting and employment positions with a number of exploration and development companies concentrating on acquisitions, divestitures, reserve and resource assessment, and field development in Western Canada. In addition, he was an Associate Director at ScotiaWaterous where he was responsible for the development and execution of corporate and property divestiture mandates in Canada.

Mr. Alexander graduated with a B.Sc. (specialization) in Geology from the University of Alberta and is a professional geologist and member of APEGA.


Amy Trynor, P.Eng.

Director, Acquistions & Divestitures

Ms. Trynor has 18 years of engineering experience, including facilities, production and reservoir roles. She spent 12 years working on conventional and unconventional oil and gas plays at Encana, where she developed strong analytical and project management skills. She has been a leader with Girl Guides of Canada for 15 years.

Ms. Trynor holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Dalhousie University. She is a professional engineer and a member of APEGA.


Ryan Axani, P.Geol.

Associate, Acquisitions & Divestitures

Prior to joining AltaCorp, Mr. Axani worked as a geologist with a variety of exploration and development companies concentrating on strategic resource development, acquisitions, divestitures, and reserve evaluations across Western Canada and the United States.
Mr. Axani graduated with a B.Sc. (specialization) in Geology from the University of Calgary, is a professional geologist and member of APEGA and is working towards his CFA Charter.
 


Kelly Wylie

Associate, Acquisitions & Divestitures

Ms. Wylie joined AltaCorp Capital in August 2011, bringing over 8 years of Acquisitions & Divestitures experience. Prior to joining AltaCorp, she  was an Associate with Tristone Capital Inc. and its successor Macquarie Capital Markets Canada Ltd. Ms. Wylie has completed her certification in Joint Venture Administration from Mount Royal University.
